FAQs

What levels are available, and which ages are they for?

Students can choose from three levels (based on CEFR) to match their English literacy and grade.

  • Basic (CEFR A2 / recommended for grades 4–6)An entry level that builds the basics of investing through core economic vocabulary and straightforward English news clues.
  • Intermediate (CEFR B1–B2 / recommended for grades 6–8)An in-depth level that analyses company performance and industry-trend articles from several angles and leads team discussion.
  • Advanced (CEFR B2–C1 / recommended for grades 8–10)An advanced level that analyses global macroeconomics and big-tech value-chain articles in depth to make sophisticated decisions.
Is it in English only? Can students who are less confident in English take part?

Katsby Invest runs on English news clues and an English interface so students can build global economic literacy. But it is not a class that tests students' English or grades them on an English score.

  • A class built around decisions and reasoning
  • Learning naturally through teamworkIt runs as a team-versus-team game. As teammates interpret clues and discuss them together, the pressure of English eases and students pick up economic knowledge and business expressions naturally.
  • Choose your levelFrom the Basic level (grades 4–6), sentences are kept straightforward, so anyone with basic primary-school English reading skills can dive in and enjoy it like a game.
How long does one session take?

One round takes 40–50 minutes, which makes it easy to fit flexibly into a schedule.

You can freely adjust the number of rounds and class time to your goals — regular academy classes, after-school programmes or one-off special events.

Do I need to install a program or app?

No. Katsby Invest is a 100% cloud-based responsive web service, so you can start a class right away from a single browser link — no software to install and no complicated sign-up.

Which devices can I use it on? (Is it available on smartphones?)
